The successful sign-writing business Signs By Two Brothers, formerly located at Matakana, has a new owner Tony Broughton-Johnson (aka John)
“The business has a good reputation and we plan to build on that,” Tony says. “Bill and I will continue to offer all forms of sign-writing, promotional t-shirts and general printing.”
Tony started sign-writing at his father’s print shop in Empangeni, South Africa, not long after leaving school. The family originally farmed in Zambia, but eventually moved to South Africa to escape the political unrest.“ and relocated the Business to 222 State Highway 1, opposite Totalspan.
Our Story
Now well established in Warkworth
I travelled extensively when I left South Africa and the more I travelled, the less I wanted to return there. My wife Toni is a Kiwi girl from Kaitaia – we met in London and travelled in Africa together. I caught up with her again in NZ, and decided to stay.”
Toni works as a nurse at the Kowhai Surgery in Warkworth.
Before moving north with his family from Auckland seven years ago, Tony worked for a large sign company. Since moving here, Tony has been building and contracting work for sign companies but is now looking forward to offering a relaxed, professional sign service based in Warkworth.
